Hi all! This is Jeanye (also known as NeeNee around the digi communities) and I will be jumping in here on the blog from time to time showing you how to use Jaimee’s amazing kits and collections and how they can be used to make some amazing Project Life pages.
My Project Life pages will be hybrid since I do “paper” layouts versus digital. So this will give you an interesting and diverse look at how to use her kits in ways other than in digital formats.
For week 1 of my 2013 album, I decided to use Jaimee’s Reflection Bundle.
My first step was opening up my Photoshop and placing the journal and filler cards onto 8.5 x 11 pages for printing along with some of the elements that I believed were going to work well with the visual images I had in my mind for what I wanted to do with my week 1 layout.
After printing them out, I place the filler cards tentatively in my page protectors. Here is a look at how I have progressed to this point:
My next step was to dig through my stash of supplies that I use for Project Life that coordinate with the Reflections bundle kit along with the hybrid elements I had printed from the collection to use in my layouts.
As you will notice in my final layouts for my album, I did rearrange a few things and not all of my bits and pieces were used (but rest assured they will be used later as the year progresses). I stitched some bits down, stapled a few and even glued a few as well.
With week 1 easily put together due to the elements and pages that Jaimee includes in her bundles, I was quickly ready to move onto week 2.
For week 2, I chose to use Jaimee’s January Storyteller Collection. These monthly collections are just loaded with goodies and easily could be used to do your complete month of pages.
Again, I began by laying out my elements for printing onto 8.5 x 11 pages in Photoshop. In the January Storyteller Collection the awesome Jaimee had actually already put all of the filler and journal cards into printing format for us! Here is a look at how I tentatively arranged my pages before adding my photos, additional elements and journaling.
I then as in week 1, gathered up my coordinating supplies from my stash to use along with Jaimee’s Storyteller Collection.
Again, a few things were moved around and bits and pieces were saved for later in the year in my album but everything turned out great!
All of the papers used for inserts as filler pages or journal cards in the pages were from Jaimee’s kits. I know Jaimee always has some great digital layouts that showcase her fantastic and loaded kits and bundles so I hope this helps show you how you can turn those great products into hybrid projects as well. I will be back around posting here from time to time showing off more of my Project Life pages.
I hope you all have a great week and I will be back soon! Until next time, HUGS!
